What makes ASCEville"Greenville?" Activities |
*Setting: Indicates whether an activity is suitable for a school, afterschool, or community event. Activities considered appropriate for a large-scale community event are attention-grabbing but simple; use inexpensive materials; require minimal instruction, supervision, and cleanup; and can be modified to take place over a short period of time (about 15-20 minutes).
**Special Materials: Lists materials that may not be commonly found in a household, may be slightly expensive (i.e., more than a couple of dollars per student), or must be collected or ordered ahead of time. Quantities listed are "per group" (10 students) and/or "per team" (1, 2, or 3 students).
STEM Education Content Standards: All activities are aligned to the National Science Education Standards and the ITEEA Technological Standards of Literacy. They also correlate with the Next Generation Science Standards. |
